Dear Visa Officer,
I hope you are well.
I am an Australian passport holder residing in New South Wales and will be travelling to Bangkok to attend the EARCOS Leadership Conference as a delegate representing my employer, BFX Furniture.
I understand that Thailand's visa exemption arrangements changed on 15 September 2026 and that Australian citizens may enter Thailand visa-free for up to 30 days for tourism purposes. However, I would like clarification regarding conference attendance and business-related travel.
My visit will involve:
Attending the EARCOS conference sessions
Meeting with school representatives and industry contacts
Networking with existing and prospective customers
Representing my company at the event
I will not be undertaking employment in Thailand or receiving remuneration from any Thai organisation.
Could you please advise whether I may enter Thailand under the current visa exemption arrangements, or whether I am required to obtain a Non-Immigrant B visa prior to travel?
If a Non-Immigrant B visa is required, I would appreciate any guidance on the specific supporting documentation needed for conference attendance as an overseas delegate.
Thank you for your assistance. I look forward to your advice.
Kind regards,
Stuart Smith

Hello, I am departing for Thailand in a couple of weeks with my wife (Thai). Am I able to take prescription medical Marijuana into Thailand? I am a 4 time cancer survivor and this medication helps me greatly with irritation and sleep. I have a Doctors Medical certificate to authenticate my position.
If this is not possible, am I able to purchase the same in Thailand?
