Begin Your Thailand eVisa Application
List of Core Requirements for Tourist eVisa
The following core documents must be submitted by all applicants, regardless of whether they are applying for a single or multiple-entry tourist eVisa:
Passport Biopage Scan
A valid passport is required for your Thailand tourist eVisa application and must meet the following conditions:
- It must be valid for the entire duration of your stay in Thailand.
- A clear scan of the passport bio-data page is required.
- All details (photo, name, passport number, MRZ) must be fully visible.
- No blur, glare, or cropped edges in the scanned copy.
Applicant Photo
- A recent digital photograph is required, taken within the last 6 months.
- The image should clearly show your full face with a neutral expression.w
- Captured against a plain background with no shadows or distractions.
- Filters, heavy edits, or enhancements are not allowed.
- Head coverings are permitted only for religious reasons, but the face must remain fully visible from forehead to chin.
Travel Booking Confirmation
A travel booking confirmation is required to show your planned entry into and exit from Thailand. This can be a flight ticket, ferry/ship booking, or any other valid travel itinerary, depending on your mode of transport.
It should clearly display your:
- Travel dates
- Booking reference
- Passenger details
- Proof of onward or return travel
Proof of Accommodation in Thailand
You must provide proof of where you will be staying during your visit. It can be a hotel booking confirmation or an invitation letter from your host in the country.
The document should include the full address of the stay and clear contact details.
Proof of Sufficient Funds
You must provide a document proving that you can support yourself financially for the duration of your stay in Thailand. You can submit recent bank statements, proof of earnings such as salary slips, or a sponsorship letter.
The documents should clearly show your name and sufficient funds to cover your trip.
Document Indicating Current Location
You will need to provide a document that confirms your current address. This could be a utility bill, a residence permit, or any official document that clearly shows your current address and legal status.
Additional Requirements Depending on Selected Visit Purpose
In addition to the core requirements, you may be required to submit additional supporting documents depending on the purpose of your visit when applying for a Thailand Single-Entry Tourist eVisa.
For Tourism / Leisure Activities
Applicants selecting "Tourism / Leisure Activities" as their purpose of visit are only required to submit the core documents listed above. No additional documents are needed for either single-entry or multiple-entry Thailand tourist eVisas.
For Football Trial
If your selected purpose of visit is “Football Trial”, then you must submit one additional document alongside the core requirements:
Invitation/Confirmation Letter from Football Club
An official invitation or confirmation letter from the football club is required when attending football trials in Thailand.
It should clearly state your participation details and confirm that you have been selected or invited to participate in the trial.
For Medical Treatment (Less than 60 days)
Those visiting Thailand for medical care must select “Medical Treatment” as their purpose of visit and provide an additional document in addition to the standard requirements:
Appointment Letter from Hospital/Medical Centre
Submit a letter from the hospital or medical centre confirming your appointment or treatment.
This letter should clearly state your scheduled visit and basic treatment details to help verify the purpose of your travel.
For Recreation Learning or Training Related Activities
If you’re visiting Thailand for recreational learning or training-related activities (such as scuba diving, boxing training, Thai massage training, and Thai culinary learning), then submit the following document alongside the listed core documents:
Letter of Acceptance/Invitation from Organisation or Institute
Submit an acceptance or invitation letter from the relevant institution or organisation.
The letter must include your full name, institution or organisation name, details of the course, programme, or event, the dates of participation, and confirmation of your enrolment or invitation.
To Visit Family Residing in Thailand (Less than 60 days)
If you’re visiting a family member who is residing in Thailand, submit the following documents in addition to the standard documents mentioned above:
Proof of Family Member's Legal Status in Thailand
You must provide one of the following documents issued by a Thai authority to the family member you will be visiting in Thailand:
- Thai ID card
- Passport copy
- Visa page
- Residence permit of the family member you are visiting
For Participants of MICE Industry (Meeting, Incentives, Convention, Exhibitions)
Provide the following additional document if you’re visiting Thailand as a MICE industry participant:
Letter from the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB)
Provide a letter from the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) confirming your participation.
The letter should include your full name, the name and location of the event, the event dates, the purpose of your visit, and the organiser's contact details.
